Flat Stanley Visits Ft. Hood
The students in Jennifer Houston's third grade class at Shenandoah Elementary participated in a Flat Stanley Project. The project consisted of reading the book, then the class wrote letters to friends and family around the world. Many of them took pictures and then they were to mail them back to the class in order to teach them about other communities.
Hunter Rossiter chose to write to his uncle, Aaron Ferrell, a soldier at Fort Hood. Aaron did take pictures of Hunter's Flat Stanley with his military buddies and on some of their equipment to send to Hunter. However, Aaron surprised his nephew at school by personally delivering his Flat Stanley. He is home briefly and will be deployed to serve in Korea later this month. The class appreciated your visit and your service Aaron!
