Lasso a Good Book

We are getting ready to “Open the way West to reading” for Right to Read Week.  Thanks to First Book, a non-profit organization with a mission to give children the opportunity to read and own a new book, all students in pre-school thru 2nd grade are receiving a free book.

Third and fourth graders will also get a free book compliments of RIF (Reading is Fundamental).  A total of 3 free books were given to third and fourth grade this school year.

Right to Read Week will be May 12 – 16, 2008. The theme this year is Lasso a Good Book.  We encourage everyone to come and read to our students during this week. If any student brings in a 3 x 5 picture of themselves reading they will become one of our “Wanted  Readers”.

I would like to thank Borders of Parkersburg for all their help when we made our selections for First Book.
