Shenandoah School Store:
Open and Ready for Business
Recently a store was opened in the lobby of Shenandoah High School. Mr. Pachuta and Ms. Sleeper, teachers at SHS, are in charge of the store.
The store was opened to give students somewhere to buy supplies if they need it. It was opened towards the end of September. The store is currently open in the drama ticket booth during all lunch periods.
The employees at the store are all students. Some items sold at the store include notebooks, pens, pencils, book covers, white out, note cards, and t-shirts. All items besides the t-shirts are under a dollar.
This is the first time Shenandoah has ever had a school store. “The best sellers so far are mechanical pencils, regular pencils, and the t-shirts,” said Mr. Pachuta.
“We have not decided what the profits will go to, although part of the money will go to supplies for next year,” stated Mr. Pachuta. There are also surveys where students have given suggestions on what should be sold in the store.
